Seattle: a magical place (part 3)

I promise i'll talk more about the song later (referring to an earlier post) but i'm going to continue on with the seattle stories.

As my trip was coming to an end, my cousin and my aunt came to visit Seattle from london. Their still in Seattle right now actually. So we were invited to a BBQ to welcome them and me (kinda). This barbaque was at my dads cousins house. So we went and had african food. It was yum. Then I got to spend some time with my cousin Margret; shes only a year younger then me. We really hit it off this time. She watches all the same shows as I do and we were very similar. We had never gotten along the other times we met because we were both SUPER shy so talking was not even an option. But this time we did and I'm glad I got to know her better.

After that lunch I went to my auntie Samia's house again to spend the next two days there. They were gettting ready for Zanzibar Day which was a fundraiser to be held in Bellvue at a part for a library in Zanzibar. They only have one library in the city center and the people in shamba don't have one so this was for them. They were going to be selling African food and invited as many people as possible. The getting ready mostly involved cooking so that was what was being done. So I spent the night there.

I woke up in the morning had breakfast and everything then people started arriving to help with Zanzibar Day. I got dressed and ready in jeans and a tank top. The weather in Seattle was perfect. No to hot, not to cold. It was in the 70s most of the time and it always had a little breeze. Perfection. So after I got dressed I tried to help in whatever way I can. There was this somalian girl whos name was Mariam there. She was hilarious. She was only like 6 but she had the confidence of a 21 year old. So I was kind of looking over the little ones. I then left with my aunt Lina to get something from the store (walgreens, suprise suprise). Then when we got back I was doing something that involved money and got a little pen on my shirt. I then changed into my dress and i'm glad I wore that.

As soon as I was done getting dressed my aunt asked me and this guy named hassan to go to the park first and stay there until everyone else got there. Do you smell as set up? hmm. Anyways we were there and only one person came on time anyways. We helped move things and set up a little bit. I also met my future aunt (or so she says) Deedra. She was really nice. The funny thing is shes not dating my uncle anymore but you know two people in love can't stay apart. Their bound to end up together someday. The fundraiser was a lot of fun, I got to see a lot of people I haven't seen in a long time. It was all in all a sucsess. I'm not allowed to say how much was made but it was a LOT! Not enough for a library but a very good start. :)

Sunday I went to my aunts house and finished a project I was working on. Then just kind of hung out there packing and such. It was my last day. I flew back early monday morning. Its good to be home but I miss seattle a little bit. I like it there. It may just be the place for me when I grow up. But i'm not sure. Still exploring the world...

song of the day: Teenage Dream - Katy Perry

quote of the day:"The spaces between your fingers were created so that another's could fill them in."
