I'm thinking from the song title you can all guess what I did on the second day of my trip. We woke up really early and hit the road for a four hour trip to New York from Maryland. I was too excited to sleep so I enjoyed the cd's that we brought along for the trip. The hotel we stayed in was in New Jersey so we took a metro into the city. The first place we arrived was ground zero (the place where the twin towers used to stand). I can't say it was really exciting, their in the process of building something new there and we coulden't find the memorial so we just chilled by this cool water thingy as seen below:
Eventually we got a call from the guy you was going to show us around. He was at millenium hilton which is this pretty cool hilton hotel. Our tour guides name is Musa Mseraleoni and he is one of a kind. His real last name is not mseraleoni that just a nickname people called him because he used to where these west african shirts and was really dark. He is a rastafarian. He has super long dreads and he wore a little kanga thing and yeah. He was one of a kind and talked a lot, most of what he discussed were all the buildings he owned. He owned half of new york from what he says. He really lied to us big time but he kept us laughing and showed us all the cool places. like....
Time Square
Where the ball is dropped on New Years Eve; (speaking of that, when we got back to Maryland we told Bill we went there. He told us that he went one new years eve. I was like THATS SO COOL! He was like no actually it really wasent. Me and my mom were squished, I could barley even see the ball, there were gay people making out everywhere, and the whole time we wished we were watching t.v. this = not everyone has the same appriciation of these places as me)
Hard Rock Cafe
Madison Square Garden
Crystler building
Union Square
My favorite of every place we went was time square. I felt like I was truley in New York when I saw all those sky scrapers and all the huge advirtisments. There were lots of people everywhere, and it was just the best feeling n the world to be standing amoung all those amazed fast moving people. I was on top of the world there. Hard Rock Cafe was in time square, we didn't eat there but it was still nice to just go inside. Union Square was a pretty chill plae where there were lots of people dancing and skating around. It was nice. They also had a forever 21 across the street that made it even better. The crylstler building was realllly tall. It had pretty good arcitecture and reminded me of the beginning of gossip girl. Madison square garden was a big name but they didn't have any concerts happening. We also drove through a lot of diffrent places. Like soho, china town, little italy, and Brooklynn. It was a really nice place to visit.
