"Cause everything starts from something, Something would be nothing, nothing if your heart didn't dream with me"

On October 26th, 2012 I got to experience what 31 million girls around the world want to. Not just any girls, but beliebers. I'm proud to be a part of a fan base filled with hilarious, devoted, crazy, upbeat, loving people. I guess I can start by saying a little about my fan history. I heard Justin Bieber in June of 2009. The music video for One Time was free on iTunes. Noticing that Usher was a part of it, I downloaded it. Imagine my surprise when there was a little blond boy with a fancy bowl cut and a grey hoodie singing in perfect pitch. The video was fun, and it was impossible not to since along. A couple months later he blew up and became the phenomenon that he is today. He's currently headlining his second world tour, and I got to see it live in Kansas City from the Sprint Center. I bought this really pretty purple and black dress from Urban Outfitters, curled my hair and I was ready to go.

I arrived at the arena at 4. The show started at 7. Justin pulled up in his tour bus around 4:20. Kenny and three other security guards were walking on either side of the tour bus making sure no girls tried to jump on top or anything. He waved at the fans from the front of the bus for 2 seconds before disappearing to the back. The bus is black and shiny. You can't really tell it apart from all the other ones that the crew rides in. The fans that got there at 8 am got to see Dan Kanter (world renowned guitarist). I was bummed I missed out on the Dan Kanter song. I had the pleasure of seeing Carly Rae Jepson. She waved at us from the red van she was riding in. Cody Simpson also waved to us as he entered the arena. Justin's grandparents were also there. His grandma came out to smoke a couple times and waved as well. Getting to the arena early is the best thing you can do if you want to meet some celebrities or get in the spirit of the concert. It wouldn't hurt to do a run around of the stadium or arena to know all your  doors and locations. If they have barricades up, chances are someone that matters will be passing through there. Just a note. It doesn't sum up to much though. I met his Uncle Chris when I went to Stratford two summers ago, and I inboxed him to see if he could make the connection. Though we emailed back and forth in the past, even he couldn't get me in.

There were tons of girls who did not have money or tickets waiting outside the arena. The cutest were the girls who had a sign that said "will sing for tickets". They sang the entire album over and over and over again, but nothing. The whole NSN fantasy where Ry Good comes out and gives you tickets was not something that happened at the show I attended. Most of the crew wasn't very nice in general. I saw Alfredo when he was on the lookout for the One Less Lonely Girl. I tried to say hi to him. He heard, and totally ignored me. It's like he forgot that he's not even the star. No one paid the big bucks to see him. Kenny also didn't react to fans. Keep an eye out for him during the song Believe. He did a walk through to see how the show looked from the audiences perspective. I would warn you ahead of time not to make posters, because every single one of them gets thrown away when you walk in. The crew comes out to take five signs from the people that arrive super early and those are used during baby (which is the encore). Don't leave right when the lights come up, he'll come out and do the hits then.

The openers are just alright, as most new and upcoming artists are. Cody sang his heart out and was much better then I thought he would be. He was very cute and just excited to be doing what he loves. Carly was an decent performer too. I didn't really know all the songs, so I couldn't really sing along or anything. Call Me Maybe was obviously the best part of the entire performance. Before Justin comes out, the famous countdown clock counts down for about ten minutes. Michael Jackson sons play to warm the crowd up. I was jamming but a lot of people of my generation don't know those songs. I was sitting next to two fairly old people for a Believe concert. They were in their early 30s and school teachers.

The songs that he performs are :
All Around The World
As Long As You Love Me
Take You
One Time
U Smile/That Should Be Me (just a capella)
Die In Your Arms
Beauty and a Beat
Beautiful with Carly Rae Jepson
Out of Town Girl
She doesn't like the lights
Love Me Like You Do
Eenie Meanie
Somebody to Love
Catching Feelings
Fall
Be Alright
Never Say Never
Believe
Boyfriend
Baby

My favorite moment of the entire show had to be when he got on the crane that hoovers right above the fans and sings Fall and Be Alright. Fall was my favorite song off of the album, so it was special that he sung it right in above me. I happened to have floor seats just 15 rows away from him. There are moments when I swore we made eye contact, but it was just my fan girl imagination running wild. His voice is really good, and he has become quite the dancer over the years. The outfit changes are nice, and the stage is phenomenal. There are a lot of cool little extras where it looks and sounds like he's jumping into a pool. The stage lights up in a lot of different ways. The addition of female dancers wasn't a huge deal, because they didn't really do much.  The One Less Lonely Girl was a white, brunette as usual. She didn't cry or anything and was wearing a home-made t-shirt. She sat on a throne while he performed the first half of the song. He crowned her at "I'm gonna put you first.I'll show you what you're worth" then they hugged and everything. After the song he said, come back stage with me. She kind of froze and he took her hand and they ran back there together. I'm sure they shared a special moment while the entire arena was being bitter that it wasn't them picked.

I hope this helps you get an insight on what the Believe Tour is really like, or prepare for your show when the date comes. Leave comments if you have an questions. The little details always matter to me as well, so I don't mind random questions.

To answer one I already see coming, Yes. He's just as cute in person. Just little. He's pretty short and his muscles are present, but little like the rest of him haha. I'll post pictures and videos in my next post. Look out for that.
